Independent ranking places BAT among leading companies recognised for workplace excellence and employee experience

BAT has been recognised in the Financial Times  and Statista’s Europe’s Best Employers 2026 ranking, highlighting its continued commitment to creating a high-quality workplace environment across the region.

The annual ranking identifies 1,000 companies across Europe that stand out for employee satisfaction and workplace excellence. Importantly, the results are based entirely on independent and anonymous surveys conducted via FT.com,  with employers — including BAT — playing no role in the evaluation process.

The methodology combines direct and indirect recommendations from employees. Participants are asked whether they would recommend their own employer to friends and family, as well as naming  organisations within their industry they would endorse. The survey also captures sentiment across key areas such as working conditions, compensation, development opportunities and company reputation.

Millions of evaluations are considered as part of the process, making the ranking a robust and credible reflection of the employee experience across Europe.

Being named among Europe’s Best Employers represents a strong external endorsement of BAT’s culture and people strategy, and of the environment it continues to build to support its colleagues.
